Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder, professionally Winona Ryder was born on Winona Minnesota. She was named by her parents after the town in which she grew in. The father of her Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder believes she is Jewish has a connection to Ryder's Jewish father. The actress has a younger brother Uria and two half-siblings Jubal as well as Sunyata. Ryder was born in the United States and moved with her family to Mendocino County California at the age of seven. There was no electricity. Ryder was a voracious book reader because there was television. At the age of 12 years old, Ryder was accepted into the American Conservatory Theatre to take acting classes. When she was 15, Ryder landed her very first role onscreen, playing Lucas. Ryder experienced bullying at high school. Her acting career, she hoped to help, could have helped her. But, unfortunately, that didn't take place. However, she pushed on with her dream. In 1988, it was the year that Tim Burton released Beetlejuice that was her breakthrough. Ryder continued to play numerous roles that were successful. In 1993 she received two nominations in the Academy Awards. One of the nominations was for her part In The Age of Innocence.
